Welcome to the Academy!
The beautiful thing about learning to play music is the joy,
the complete satisfaction it gives you this week and next,
and for all the weeks in the rest of your life.
At the Academy, we love what we do and it shows. We love to make music and teach music but what we love most is seeing how music ignites the imagination and instills a love for learning in our students. We see that in our youngest students just 5 or 6 years old to our seniors in their 70’s and 80’s, and we see it whether they are on piano or violin, guitar or ukulele or any of the other instruments we teach. Are we passionate about what we do? Absolutely.
West Kelowna Academy of Music is a dynamic Music Community providing teaching excellence in a welcoming non-competitive environment where music-making is celebrated, and individual goals are valued. The Academy’s “Music4Life” philosophy empowers students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for music to become a lifelong interest and a satisfying source for well-being.
